Jobs in Sri Lanka may pay below fair wages and offer sub-standard working conditions. In the Netherlands, there are over 100,000 software/IT vacancies, with companies regularly fighting for talent.

Your study fund
The study fund is filled by our partners with subsidies and donations. These funds are then used to offer you, students, a loan to follow IT-related education. For example, you might choose a computer science or an information technology degree. To be suitable for the study fund, you must have completed your high-school studies, possess an intermediate+ level of English, and meet your target educational program’s entry requirements.

As a member of our talent pool we connect you to one of our IT partners, allowing you to work in one of our available Sri Lankan offices for an international company. You will be paid a fair salary and have job security by being offered a job after your studies. All students in the study fund are offered opportunities during their study (internships) and after (full-time or senior positions). The organization
Walikuku works together with the Kalapuwa Foundation, which has been active in Sri Lanka since 2014 and has an enormous track record and network.
We aim to facilitate and support your studies and work life. We are in contact with local educational institutions, take care of registrations, provide student finance, guide you during your job search, offer employment opportunities, and follow your work to help you advance in your field. In addition, we take care of the administrative so you don’t have to.
There is always local support from Dutch people on-site to guide you during your onboarding. We also offer you the possibility to work with Dutch programmers in Sri Lanka for a period of 1 to 2 weeks, so that you get accustomed to the work, pace, and remote collaboration runs optimally.
